Lake Michigan beaches, inland lakes, rivers, dunes, and ski hills, all within easy reach of our homes. Here is the lay of the land and what each season is good for.
Our homes sit across four communities, each with its own character. They are close enough to combine and quiet enough to feel like a real getaway.
The hub. A walkable historic downtown, a working Riverwalk, and a long stretch of Lake Michigan beach anchored by the North Pierhead lighthouse. Restaurants, shops, and the most to do within walking distance.
A small lakeside village built around Portage Lake, which connects to Lake Michigan through a channel. Easy boating, sailing, and paddling, plus a laid back marina and a beach at the channel mouth.
Inland lake and forest country. Chief Lake and the surrounding water are quiet and clean, ideal for kayaks, fishing, and slow mornings. A little more privacy, a little more space.
Deep in the Manistee National Forest along the Big Manistee River. This is the true unplug spot, known for river paddling, blue ribbon trout fishing, and trees in every direction.
A national lakeshore of towering dunes and overlooks above Lake Michigan. The Pierce Stocking scenic drive and the dune climb make a full, easy day out.
Golf and the spa in summer, skiing and snowboarding in winter. A four season resort that gives the area a real off season draw.
First Street Beach and Fifth Avenue Beach in Manistee, plus quieter stretches up and down the shore for swimming and sunset watching.
Summer is the headline, but the area gives you a reason to come back all year. Here is the honest breakdown.
June through August is what these homes are made for. Beach days, swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding, boating, grilling, fire pits, and long sunsets on the deck. Family lake weeks, beach vacations, and group getaways.
Northern Michigan turns in late September and October. Fall color drives, river fishing, golf before it closes, and small town events, with smaller crowds and cooler nights.
Crystal Mountain skiing and snowboarding, plus cross country trails and a cozy home to come back to. A smaller share of our stays today, and one we are glad to host more of.
Blue ribbon trout water, Lake Michigan and inland fishing, golf weekends, and plain quiet escapes. Good reasons to come up outside the summer rush.
Tell us how you like to spend a week up north and we will steer you to the right town and the right home. Beach mornings, deep water, a fishing river, or a ski base, we know the difference.
